How Cloudless Local handles data

Cloudless Local is designed around user-selected folder access and app-local records needed for checks, copies, and saved-copy management.

Local-first

Your files stay on your Mac.

Cloudless Local does not upload user files, does not upload folder lists, and does not read file contents for advertising.

Folder access

You choose what the app can access.

Cloudless Local works with folders you select. macOS permissions may require you to grant or reselect access before the app can scan, prepare, copy, or re-check a folder.

Local permissions

Access records may be stored locally.

Security-scoped bookmarks or local access permissions may be stored on your Mac so Cloudless Local can reopen selected folders when needed.

App records

Status metadata stays local as needed.

Scan state, managed folder records, Cloudless Home selection, and saved-copy dashboard records may be stored locally for app workflows.

Purchases

Apple handles purchase and restore.

Cloudless Local Pro purchase and restore are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Hazybyte Studio does not receive your payment card details.

Support email

You decide what to send.

The support page prepares an email in your email app. Include only the details needed to understand the issue, and do not attach private documents unless support asks later.

Diagnostics

Share intentionally.

Diagnostics or logs, if requested, should avoid sensitive paths by default and should be shared only when you intentionally choose to send them.

Boundaries

No account, no file upload, no encryption claim.

Cloudless Local does not require an app account, does not upload your files, and does not encrypt files.
