Cloudless Local is designed around user-selected folder access and app-local records needed for checks, copies, and saved-copy management.
Folder access
You choose what the app can access.
Cloudless Local works with folders you select. macOS permissions may require you to grant or reselect access before the app can scan, prepare, copy, or re-check a folder.Local permissions

Security-scoped bookmarks or local access permissions may be stored on your Mac so Cloudless Local can reopen selected folders when needed.App records
